We coach from 7 to 17 years of age and provide a link to adult competitive hockey with Rotherham Men's and a number of Ladies' clubs.

Coaching takes place on Sunday mornings from 9.00 until 11.00am, on the Astroturf pitch at Firth Rixson Aurora Sports Ground, Bawtry Road, Brinsworth. We have a full programme of events that takes us from the beginning on the 4th September 2005 through to the end of April 2006 and a number of qualified coaches dedicated to help young players enjoy and develop their skills in the sport

Each season we enter teams in the Yorkshire Youth Hockey Leagues for boys and girls at Under 16, 14, 12 & 10 years of age. We also enter both boys and girls teams in National Cup Competitions at Under 11, 13 15 & 18 age groups.

Rotherham Hockey Club has been accredited to both the Sport England Clubmark and the England Hockey Clubs 1st Programme since April 2004, with a view to introducing hockey to youngsters and to develop their skills and abilities, both sporting and social.

The fees payable for Sunday morning coaching for the season 2005/06 will be £1.50. When youngsters are involved in youth matches or festivals the fee will be £2.50. An annual membership subscription of £15.00 will be payable after a player has attended 5 coaching sessions. All coaches and assistants give their time on a voluntary basis.
